Homemade Mint Chocolate Chip Whipped Cream

What I love about eating the in Stressless Lifestyle is that allows you to continue to eat your favorite things! There is no one set menu or restriction. You get to eat the way YOU want to eat as long as it fits. There are macros personalized for each person and you get to eat what ever fits within those numbers. This whipped cream topping is a great addition to a low carb, high fat day of the Stressless Lifestyle and has just a hint of minty flavor with the perfect balance of creamy and sweetness. When you add it on top of a protein chocolate mug cake, its like eating a mint chocolate chip cake.


And here is the fun part about this recipe: its so easy that your kids can help you make it too and even be your taste testers! Even my 18 month old got involved and poured in the Devotion Nutrition Mint Chocolate Chip Flex flavor. My older two, enjoyed being the official taste testers and described it as a "fluffy mint chocolate chip ice cream." This minty twist on an already yummy treat is perfect for adding on top of egg thin crepes, our Stressless Chocolate Protein Mug cake, or even to top our favorite guilt free Hot Chocolate!



Homemade Mint Chocolate Chip Whipped Cream


Whipped cream topping is one of my favorite ways to satisfy my sweet tooth and this one has been kid approved too! This recipe is sugar free, keto friendly and gluten free as it only has 3 ingredients. The flavor and sweetness come from natural stevia and vanilla extract.

Ingredients

1/2 cup (120 ml) cold heavy whipping cream

1 packet of Devotion Nutrition Mint Chocolate Chip Flex Flavor

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

1. Place your mixing bowl and your whisk attachments in the refrigerator or freezer for about 10-15 minutes to chill. I usually place mine in the freezer for about 10 minutes because of course with mom life we don’t have much time and my kids get so excited when they get to make this recipe with me. Once chilled, remove from the refrigerator or freezer.

2. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, or in a large mixing bowl using a hand-held mixer, add the heavy whipping cream. Start mixing on low speed for a minute or two.

3. Add in the Devotion Nutrition Mint Chocolate Chip Flex Flavor and vanilla extract and increase the speed to medium-high until cream becomes soft or stiff and peaks form.


Notes

Adjust the amount of flex flavor to your personal preference. I prefer to use 1 packet per 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream so that there is just a hint of that mint flavor. If you decide to add in more flex flavor, I would reduce the amount of vanilla extract.
